Balearic Islands - Spain

The Balearic Islands are an archipelago in the Mediterranean region east of the Iberian Peninsula. There are four main islands of the group: Mallorca, Ibiza, Menorca and Formentera.

Of these, four are Majorca and Ibiza to the most famous and popular tourist destinations for visitors from other European countries. The islands form one of 17 independent municipalities of Spain. Catalan is spoken in all islands, with different dialects for each of them. English is widely understood and spoken in tourist areas of the islands.

Mallorca
