Before You Visit Florida's Naturist Beaches, Brush Up on Nude Beach Etiquette

The first things one thinks of when someone says Florida is sunshine. Florida has a mild climate for most of the year and this makes it the ideal place to get out and have some fun in the sun. The best place to soak up some rays is at the beach and with over 1,000 miles of coastline Florida is the perfect place to grab a beach towel, some sunscreen and hit the sand. So you go to the beach and get your tan, but what about all those pesky tan lines? Well, good news, should you choose to go 'au naturel' at the beach here are a few things you should know.

Nude tanning is really 'taking off', pardon the pun, in Florida according to James Thorner of the St. Petersburg Times, one Florida county is gaining "status as the North American Capital of Nudism." That county - Pasco - just north of Tampa does have more than its share of residents and visitors willing expose themselves. Another popular place on the east coast is Playalinda Beach it is in the Cape Canaveral National Seashore and is a federally owned beach. Whether by word of mouth or force of habit, this remote stretch of beach is commonly to be a nude beach. Feel free to visit but be warned, according to FloridaNaturist.org, "inappropriate" dress is a crime in Brevard County due to a swimwear ordinance. As a matter of fact, at the out-of-the-way, but traditionally nude Federal Beach, a South American tourist was arrested for wearing a French-cut bikini. Yet, along the same coastline two hundred miles to the south, Miami-Dade County operates a legal clothing-optional beach, where any given weekend, a thousand or more totally nude men and women frolic in the surf and sun.

So what's a body to do? While there is no Federal law against nudity it is not a guaranteed right. This means that state, county and local laws can take precedence.

That still begs the question: Is it legal to sunbathe in the nude at a Florida beach? Like many legal questions, the answer is "it depends", in this case it depends on where you are, so your best bet is to check the local laws and be sure you know what they are, both county and local.

Ok, you've decided to go, you've decided to get a tan without tan lines here are a few tips, especially if you've never been to a nudist beach before, here are some common guidelines:

First of all remember what your Momma always said "It's impolite to stare" this is probably more true at a nude than anywhere. There are some people won't mind if you take their picture but you always need to ask.
Bring what you think you'll need for the day with you like food, water, a towel, sunscreen and maybe a radio.
Be friendly, but not too friendly. Be respectful of others' rights to privacy, unwelcome advances are rude anywhere but especially at a nudist beach.
While sunbathing nude in a secluded area, it's customary to leave a bathing suit on a rock so others know there is a nude person nearby, if you don't want to leave the one you were wearing, bring a spare.
If you're on a wide open beach, position yourself where you can see people coming and grab something to put on before they get to you if you need to.
Avoid sexual activity on the beach. "Sex on the Beach" is a great drink but it's illegal and offensive on the real beach.
Of course you need to get dressed before you leave the nudist beach and when you do leave take whatever brought with you but that's just common courtesy on any beach.

So if you're still in the mood for goin' nude here are some places around Florida you might ant to check out:

Air Force Beach, Palm Beach County
Apollo Beach, Volusia County
Haulover Beach
Sunny Isles, Miami-Dade County
Hobe Sound
Jupiter Island, Martin County
Blind Creek Beach
Hutchinson Island, Martin County
Playalinda Beach, Brevard County
St. Lucie Inlet
St. Lucie State Reserve, Martin County

Naturist Vacation In Vera Playa, Spain

Vera Playa gets its name from the town of Vera which is located in the eastern, coastal, region of Almeria in Andalusia, southern Spain. Playa is the Spanish word for beach. The stretch of coast that Vera Playa is located on is called the Costa de Almeria. The beach is fairly coarse golden sand and stretches, unbroken, for several kilometres. One kilometre of the beach is designated as officially nudist and it is in the area of this section that the fully naturist resort of Vera Playa has been built.

Over the years, since its humble origin as a camp site, development has been continuous and the resort is now Europe's second largest and most modern naturist resort. It is comprised of twelve urbanizacions - a Spanish word that describes communities of privately owned properties that share common facilities such as swimming pools, gardens, maintenance, cleaning etc. The urbanizacions in Vera Playa are served by shops, bars and restaurants within the naturist area. This means that wherever you stay within the resort, it is okay to walk from your apartment to the pool, the garden, the beach, the bar, the restaurant or the shop without getting dressed. As well as most of the properties in the urbanizacions being available for holiday rental, Vera Playa offers one other form of holiday accommodation; a fully naturist hotel. The hotel was one of the first developments of the resort to be built and backs right onto to the beach.

How to book holiday accommodation in the Vera Playa naturist resort:

You can find plenty of web-sites offering holiday accommodations in the resort by typing the key words "Vera Playa Naturist" into the Google search query. Use some of the better sites to get an overview of the resort and its urbanizacions but search deeper to find sites that feature specific, privately owned apartments. These, can often be cheaper and it is usually possible to negotiate the rent by emailing the owner. Last year we found an apartment that we particularly liked listed on several of the larger sites with a price of 400 euros per week for the period we wanted to take our vacation. With a little more searching, we were able to find the owner's own website who we then emailed and managed to negotiate with, a three week period for only 900 euros, saving us 100 euros per week. This method does preclude the possibility of paying online by credit card however, because private owners rarely have credit card facilities.

The weather in Vera Playa:

The weather in this part of Spain is about as good as it gets. Summer rainfall is extremely rare and sunny days are practically continuous throughout June, July and August. Even the spring weather provides plenty of days that are warm and sunny enough for sunbathing much of the time, whilst autumn often retains a good deal of the summer heat right up until November. The chance of some heavy rain increases around this time and there can be some fairly cold weather during the winter months. Even in December, January and February, however, there are often days when it warms up sufficiently for those who live in the resort to strip off and lay out for a few hours soaking in the winter sun.

Things to do around Vera Playa:

It has to said that the scenery in the immediate vicinity of Vera Playa is not particularly inspiring. Neither are the nearby towns of Vera and Garrucha the least bit picturesque or culturally significant in any way. The nearest place that is worth seeing is Mojacca, a white hilltop town with over 2000 years of history. It is located about ten kilometres west of Vera Playa. A few kilometres further in the same direction is a beautiful area of protected parkland called the Parque de Natural Cabo de Gata. Its hills, villages and many secluded coves are most definitely worth exploring. There is also an area of saltpans where thousands of migrating birds, including flamingos, stop en route to and from Africa every year. Also within easy reach of Vera Playa is the popular tourist attraction of Granada.

However, the main reason for having a holiday in Vera Playa is to sunbathe and enjoy relaxing, nude leisure in this family oriented, naturist resort. That and the very high standard of self catering accommodation is the reason we will be returning again this summer - our fifth successive year.

Fuerteventura - Naturist Beaches

Fuerteventura has long stretches of golden sands which are ideal for sun worshipers.  There is a very relaxed rule about topless sunbathing and some beaches are designated for those who want to bare all. Everyone is welcome on these beaches, fully clothed or not.  In the major resorts such as Corralejo and Morro Jable it is common place but not so common at Caleta de Fuste.

The following is a list of smaller beaches where nudism is allowed:

Alzada, El Burro, El Moro, El Dormidero, Los Matos, Playa de Olivia, El Caseron. El Viejo, El Pozo, Punta Blanco, Beatriz, Mal Nombre Tierra Dorada, Sotavento, La Solapa and Playa Mujer

There a few things you should take into consideration if you are visiting a naturist beach for the first time.

Beaches are divided up into areas, some are just used by families, others for nudists, if there are not signs clearly visible informing you that a beach is for nudists, it is a good idea to get local knowledge to find out which are.  You may have to walk through a family area, so be discreet by covering up.  Nudists beaches may be off the beaten track, take a bag to put your rubbish in to bring back with you, there may not be rubbish bins provided.

Once you are in a nudist area, respect other peoples privacy at all times.  Do not stare, taking  photographs or videos is not allowed, unless of course you have permission.  Crude behavior or language will not be tolerated, if you have it happen to you, have a quiet word with the person/s responsible, they may not understand the ethic behind naturism.

Nudism does not mean that sexual behavior will be tolerated.  Sexual acts in public are illegal and you  could be arrested. Children practice nudism along with their parents so any such behavior is not appropriate and will offend.  Just behave normally, as you would if you were clothed, if your behavior would cause of fence on a clothed beach then it would on a naturist one.  If there are bars or restaurants then you should always take a towel to sit on for reasons of hygiene, to protect others from suntan creams and oils, sweat etc.

Don't worry too much about fitting in, just enjoy the freedom and experience of being naked in a wonderful environment.  Naturists are usually easy going, laid back people.  if you don't behave outrageously then you will fit in and be accepted.

Exposing your body more than usual means that you run the extra risk of burning, make sure that you use a very high factor of sun cream and apply it regularly. An insect repellent spray would be a good idea too, being bitten in a very sensitive place could ruin your holiday!

Thinking About Becoming a Naturist? Here Are Some Great Tips to Get Started

It may well be that the current publicity that naturism is getting, is stirring an urge within you to experience being in a nudist environment yourself.

But how would you get started? Its not as if you would march straight into your local naturist club and strip off, or maybe you could... in which case its a waste of your time reading this!

Most people though, would approach something of this nature in a very cautious manner, after all, there maybe all sorts of deep rooted anxieties going on.

Possibly the best way to start practising naturism is on holiday. Most people lose some of their inhibitions and stresses amongst like-minded strangers in a sunny resort.

So here are some top tips on becoming a fully fledged naturist.

1. Go to a proper, designated nudist area. You don't want your first time naked on a beach to be interrupted by any local authority!

2. When you first get naked, you will feel as though the rest of the beach are looking at you. They are not. (usually)

When you are ready to disrobe, do so in a matter-of-fact manner. It is when a first-timer looks nervous and dithers, that could attract attention.

3. Use plenty of high factor sun lotion on those bits and pieces of your body, that have never before seen the light of day.

4. Do everything at your own pace, there is no rush. The whole idea of the exercise is about freedom and enjoyment.

5. If you get the opportunity, do chat to fellow nudists - their first-time experiences will mirror your own, and add to your confidence.

6. When you feel totally comfortable in your nakedness, definitely do go for a swim in the nude. You will be amazed at how free and next to nature you feel. From now on you may actually resent the wet, clingy swimwear that you would have on conventional holidays!

7. Moisturise heavily at the end of the day.

8. When you return from your naturist holiday, immediately phone your nearest naturist club and ask to make a pre-joining visit.

During the visit, don't be frightened to ask as many questions as possible. The person showing you around will also be asking you questions, because they will want to know that you will fit in to their clubs ethos.

If you are male, you may not be accepted as a member straight away, this is only because most naturist clubs will want to keep the right balance between male and female, and the majority of naturist club applications are male, so they may put you on a waiting list.

Book up for your next naturist holiday!

Search for naturist village - you can choose from hundreds of today

Nudism is believed that a new social culture, deprived of its former stigma and secrecy, and has come to stay as a lifestyle for many. In the recent past, throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Caribbean Islands and around the world are also several nudist clubs, nudist colonies, nudist resorts. We can easily understand from this that an increasing number of people are comfortable with the idea of a vacation for nudists, and that most of them are willing toto enjoy an alternative lifestyle experiment.

It is not necessary for all the same old places, if you go on vacation. The same people in those places are the same activities. Try something new and different place. It is possible (remember you do not need much clothing) and travel light, and you can safely enjoy your holiday naturist travel.

If you see what you want to hear true liberation and freedom, then this is your chance. We are all born without clothes, and who knows, maybe you mean the kind that remain. Often all wear clothes that we forget our true self. Not only do we judge people by their clothing, we can not ourselves from these artificial restrictions imposed by the Company free of charge. On a nudist vacation, you will be able to find your true self, how to get rid of all your inhibitions, and it all starts with getting rid of clothes that unnecessary.

In fact, there are many cases where a person who visited only occasionallyNudist lost completely transformed a confirmation. And you can meet many of them in this resort for nudists.

Of course there are many people who feel a bit 'strange, when exposed to nude sunbathing for the first time. But the initial fear passes quickly, after a few interactions with the resident of the nudist colony, and you will find that these people not only physically naked, but also completely open in front of you as souls clean. Are you one of those people who livein the city, then this is sure to stun you because it is very rare that someone can open and everything is just so simple.

You must remember a few things here if you think one or a holiday Nakation naked to a community in the United States, Mexico or Canada:

1. Visitors should always be accompanied with a partner
2. Visitors should always be used by some accredited representatives, or better yet, naked Breaks, an organization that this conceptWork only
3. And 'better for visitors to find out a bit' on the principles of naturism and patterns of behavior you expect
4. There is no connection between sex and nudity always - so as not to be mixed with other

If you're not sure from under the clothes, you might want to visit the clothing optional resort. You can also decide to spend a day in the nudist colony on the journey rather than a whole week here. You can easilyis a day to spend indoors in nude nude beaches or other places which are contained in SU Costa o. This would help to gain the confidence they need.

So go ahead and try it once and see the difference. Nudist resorts are sure to delight you.

Six reasons to choose naturist holidays

It's that time of year when my lover and I aside an evening to open a bottle of wine and discuss one of the most important events in the Egger family calendar, Whit Monday, the annual leave allocation.

As always, the first decision we make is whether we choose or not nude. As confirmed nudists, we naturally have a naturist vacation, or at least one party where you can be naked for most of the time. However, there is an automatic choice and this yearThis is a particularly tempting selection of vacation deals textiles. There is a Mediterranean cruise that looks appealing, and the Rocky Mountain Rail Adventure takes my eye. Maybe we should renew one of the countries bordering the Indian Ocean Boxing Day Tsunami, or stay at home and (sigh!) Claim, however, devastated, we will probably choose naked, and are six reasons.

Reason # 1

Still naked, can help even for a short period of time to save your life!

I'm not overly dramatichere. Really seems that the sale of the strait, restrictive clothing that may impede the natural flow of blood and lymphatic fluid in order to be a real lifesaver.

According to the researchers, a bra can be worn all sorts of problems, including pain and even breast cancer. The show (true preliminary) research shows that women who wear bras for more than twelve hours every day except bedrooms, 21 times more likely to suffer breast cancer than those who are not wearing bras, gettwelve hours a day. And this feel-bras, those who are still in the bed are 125 times more likely to suffer breast cancer than those who do not wear bras at all to get! In cultures where women do not wear bras, the incidence of breast cancer about the same as it is for men - virtually zero!

And not only women who are in danger. The same studies show that testicular cancer can be caused by tight pants for men.

So, stripping bra and panties, even for short timefor your holiday, you may take much healthier.

Reason # 2

Less clothes = less luggage = less problems.

Ever notice how when you can go for a vacation that never seem to have enough packing clothes? So how do you spend the equivalent of the cost of the holiday took on essential points of clothing specifically for the holidays? But did you find during your stay at twice the clothes you need completed? It 'scary, is not it? Do not ask me why it works - probablyInexplicable law of nature - but it happens.

Save for a naturist holiday.

It's as if nudist holidays turn natural laws on the head. The race to cover every eventuality clothes is gone replaced with a disdain for apparel bordering on the obsessive. My normal tissue two-page list Pack is only four lines, namely reduced:

· Clothing suitable for travel.

Just · smart slinky dresses for eveningWear.

· Shorts / Rock / T-shirts for all non-nudist (referred to as bare-a "textile") to talk about excursions.

° and, um ... also it really was.

The immediate effect of this textile cutting is that my luggage, which is usually in the same volume of a medium sized car, only a small suitcase. (OK, two if the other elements of saving, such as hairdryer, make-up contains count, skin creams, lipsticks, jewelry, etc. - Damn, it's a girlthey look better than the buff is not she?) Not only is it easier to deploy and speeding up a get-away from the baggage carousel, it also saves on tips. The generosity that would otherwise be distributed only to train my luggage at the hotel and transport to feed a family of five for a month. A spin-off from this is that less clothing also means less packing and unpacking, plus time for drinking wine and dozing by the pool, the whole idea of a holiday in the firstinstead.

Now it's mine, anyway

Reason # 3

The skin does not stain.

Our skin is wonderful. It is not only the largest organ of our body, but fits perfectly (OK. Sometimes some of us may only have a little 'more than necessary, but you know what I mean.)

Fortunately, it is also easier to keep clean tissue. My husband has a special fondness for pancakes - you know, these things can fritters to buy from stalls along the road in the Mediterranean? Hadeat em 'all day if I did. Unfortunately, it also has a tendency to use the syrup over filling the facade, which has ruined more shirts, as if loose fill a trunk.

A vacation nudist avoids this problem. While maple syrup is not particularly easy to remove from a naked chest - especially a hirsute male - is much easier than washing silk or cotton. Also, do not leave a stain, except for a livid red mark on his body afterSyrup from the hair on his chest was removed, but the pay is the price of men because they are so clumsy. (For the sake of equality, I must admit that this is not just a male character. Known by one or two bottles of red wine I had my chest down with something like that distribute gay abandon, making the affected clothing null and void 's process . But I insist that this is not clumsiness on my part, but simply the result of my being tired and emotional. So there.)

Reason #04:00

It makes more sense than on a beach naked than wear a swimsuit.

Let's face it. A bathing suit is of no use. We are not discouraging dry or hot, and even help us to swim: studies by West German Olympic swim team showed that actually hamper a swimmer swimsuit. She is not healthy. biting ticks and lice, sea or burning and no place to hide his naked body is easily found trapped in a swimsuit.

So why do we wear 'em

Apreserve modesty? Hardly. day 'mens These costumes are short enough but ladies bathers are positively small, with less material of a small handkerchief. bikini afford this less than two stamps on a string, and in any case are rarely brought on European beaches. bikini bottoms cover only the genitals but often leave the bottom exposed.

That also means that you do not protect from harmful UV rays of the sun.

But according to a surveythe Ladies' Home Journal Americans spend $ 900,000,000 a year for swimwear, although eighty-five percent of all swimsuits purchased never touch the water.

Not much sense does it?

Reason 5

Nudist resorts are nice places with nice people

Everyone knows that true nudists nudists are very nice people. What makes it particularly beautiful nudist remains a mystery. Perhaps the most enjoyable nudist individuals move first, or maybe the practice ofNudist somehow improves people. Who knows? And really, who cares? Let's just enjoy the situation. You can send an unlocked car in a station for nudists, and will not be taken. places for naturists and the beaches are generally orderly, good seats. Even in a resort nude Such as Cap d'Agde, with about 40,000 people at the height of the season, there is the ninth of the threatening atmosphere, violence and general awkwardness that disfigures other holiday hot spots. Every type of crime iscomplex almost nonexistent, and higher, even Cap d'Agde, no more than a minimum of security.

You do not get that Benidorm or Palm Springs!

Reason # 6

Nudist entrepreneurs need our support.

Despite the estimate that the world grows punishment naked tour around four hundred million dollars a year and fast, the nudist holiday industry is still a fragile plant that needs encouragement and support. The fine nudist resorts that day Vacation nudist fairare far from primitive camps that were not too distant past, and encouraging new generation of tourists that require a certain standard of comfort, are a large part responsible for the growth of leisure nude. But quality costs money, and these sites are by businesses and charities. If we continue to maintain that close, and we are the old, clapped out, make-and-do-connections better than yesterday. As the old sayinggoes, you have to use 'em or lose' em

So it looks as if you choose bare this year. All you have to do is decide where. Wait a minute. I only have a wonderful idea. Maybe we can support the Tsunami appeal and please ourselves while naked with Thailand. That's it! Brilliant. Well, if these brochures are ...?
